Description

Novaa has developed an ultra-wideband (UWB) antenna capability, able to provide continuous operation across an enormous range of the EM spectrum. Unlike current products, our solution enables multi-band operation (e.g. C, X, Ku and Ka bands) for multifunctional operations all on a single, low-profile AESA aperture. In this regard, leveraging time, frequency, and spatial multiplexing, many separate wireless functions which would conventionally require numerous separate antennas are consolidated into a single shared aperture. This substantially reduces cost, size, and integration complexity over current solutions. Critically, several innovations are proposed in the design of the antenna elements, front-end architecture, and beamformer, to reduce weight, power consumption and cost compared to conventional AESA.
