Description

The multipurpose multifunctional material, aka “elogium,” is an orthogonally woven 3-dimensional composite material capable of being woven into solid blocks of any size offering significant advancement over the current state-of-art carbon fiber composite fabrication. In its block form it can be machined, milled, or otherwise manipulated just like aluminum, or other isotropic material, enabling the user to enjoy a lighter and stronger alternative to traditional isotropic materials without the need for expensive one-off tooling or lengthy part replacement timeframes. Moreover it overcomes the chief problem inherent to current carbon fiber production, i.e., elogium won’t delaminate. It has better shock and durability characteristics, and it’ effectively isotropic or strong in all three dimensions at all points in the material. And, this material can be inspected or tested with non-destructive methods.
