Description

Perceptive Innovations, Inc. (PI2) and Photonis Defense, Inc., are pleased to offer to the U.S. Army this proposed solution for a digital Visor Projected Night Vision Goggle (VPNVG) sensor, based on the existing Photonis EBNocturn intensified digital CMOS low-light VIS/NIR sensor, for direct integration with the ongoing VPHMD Phase II SBIR with Intellisense. We propose a pragmatic Phase I research to clearly establish the equivalency and adequacy of our VPNVG to the Gen III analog I2 tube technology currently fielded in the AN/AVS-6 and CHMD systems in Army Rotary aircraft. As such, Phase I (Base) will culminate in a prototype VPNVG demonstration at the Photonis Starlight Room in Pennsylvania, side-by-side with a Gen III system. Results and predicted performance for all key performance metrics will be fully documented in the final report, along with a detailed Phase II development and integration plan to design, build, and integrate the first 8 units into the VPHMD system. We look forward to working with the U.S. Army on this important problem for the dismounted warfighter.
