Description
A compact avionics grade radio frequency receiver will be designed, developed and tested that shall employ atomic quantum state detection to enable quantum information to be transmitted and received over radio frequency electromagnetic waves. Transmitted information will be transmitted and received in direct digital format without the need for a carrier wave and associated demodulation. The atomic state of Rydberg atom vapor will be detected optically by means of electromagnetically induced transparency through the use of proprietary nanomaterials enabled electro-optical components. This will permit a receiver to be designed that shall be compact, rugged, high performance and low cost that will support communication over a wide bandwidth up to 50 GHz.
