Description
The continuously growing obesity epidemic in the US is having a serious impact on the US military. Researchers have even called it a threat to national security. Most of these health problems can be managed by not only what we eat, but by improving our eating behaviors. At Piqniq, Inc, we have developed a mobile solution, called ate, to help people manage their eating behaviors by augmenting their self-awareness. It is a mindful food diary app that helps them identify their existing behaviors, so they can double down on the positive ones and replace the others. All in a non-judgmental, visual and nearly effortless way. We have also created a coach dashboard tool, to allow health professionals to monitor and support their clients in a way never possible before. Seeing for the first time what and why their clients ate. This could help monitor and support service members on both active or reserve duty. Helping them stay fit for duty.
