Organizations of all kinds are living in a multi-repository world. As a result, the enterprise content management concept that focused on managing all of an organization’s data in a centralized system is becoming obsolete. The Air Force is not exempt from this problem, and is in need of commercial solutions that enhance its data management and analytics capabilities. Progressive Technology Federal Systems, Inc. (PTFS) has been a leading Enterprise Content Management provider to Federal, Civilian and Defense agencies since 1998, and understands the Air Force’s organizational environment and needs of efficient geospatial data search, management, and analysis for mission completion. Building on its solid experience and team’s deep technical expertise, PTFS is developing the KnowvationTM (KV) Content Service Platform (CSP), an enterprise geospatial data management and discovery platform that provides knowledge management and geospatial solutions tailored to the USAF needs. Our platform dynamically ingests data from multiple disparate sources with varying data models and operates with common/open interfaces, enhancing data discovery through advanced search techniques. PTFS’s proposed solution will enable intelligence reach to the tactical force and enable distribution of both geospatial and textual information for mission command, improving decision-making and mission performance.
