Description

The ShockTech team proposes an effective and adjustable airdrop platform, namely Adaptable Airdrop Platform (AAP) utilizing a combination of ShockTech products including, but not limited to, Arch Mounts ®, SMACDROP, and SMACSONIC. Our solution will be developed based on modern engineering techniques and our proprietary materials. The first version will be designed as a lightweight low cost 12' AAP for use with the upcoming BATRIGER vehicle. The BATRIGER is overweight for the current 12’ airdrop platform by 200 pounds which reduces the ability to deploy two vehicles simultaneously with resupplies in a C 130. The AAP will offer the Air Force a lightweight alternative to the traditional air drop platform with added shock and vibration protection through the replacement of honeycomb/wood shock absorbing layers with customized supports with advance engineering techniques for protection of the cargo from shock and vibration utilizing ShockTech technologies.
