Description
SI2 Technologies, Inc. (SI2) proposes the development of a volume-efficient, configurable, multi-band C4ISR/EW Modular Open Suite of Standards (CMOSS) compliant radiohead that will allow the Army to send audio, video, and positional data via secure communication networks in the UHF, L-band, and S-band spectrums.. During Phase I, SI2 will explore combining proven wideband conformal antenna arrays with custom RF front end technology through trade studies, model simulations, and prototype tests to create a CMOSS plug-and-play radiohead design During Phase I, SI2 proposes to investigate low-profile, lightweight, conformal, wideband antenna designs to meet the frequencies of interest. Trade studies will be performed to identify optimal software defined radio solutions. SI2 will evaluate both wideband and narrowband electronics to explore how well each can meet the requirements for various identified missions. SI2’s innovative solution will provide the US Army, other DoD sectors, and interested parties, with a conformal multi-frequency band antenna, combined with custom RF front end technology and a modular, CMOSS compliant back end for software-defined radio platforms.
