Description
Legacy systems and manual processes cannot keep pace with the speed of modern threats, resulting in the US Air Force’s inability to effectively Find, Fix, Track, Target, Engage and Assess threats both on and off base. USAF Chief of Staff General Goldfein’s interest in ‘Integrated Base Defense’ requires holistic changes to bring lethality and readiness to the fight. Additionally, the COVID-19 outbreak requires rapid collaboration of forces on and off base, regardless of the locale or number and type of agencies involved. A delay of hours or days leads to exponential growth in infection rates and substantially reduces readiness. Lacking interoperable communications between local and military entities responding to incidents such as COVID-19 infection, active shooter, gate runner, or heart attack results in response teams not quickly getting the right information, causing delay and increasing operator cognitive load. SimpleSense’s technology is platform-agnostic software that connects currently disparate, siloed information systems to gain efficiencies that allow first responders to save lives, increasing readiness at USAF bases.
