Publicly available sources of digital information such as social media, online news and publications, blogs and topical websites, collectively referred to as Publicly Available Information (PAI), provide potent sources of actionable intelligence if they can be interpreted properly and fast enough. Propagation of fakes and forgeries, and synthetically amplified messaging intended to manipulate the public, adds dangerous levels of risk to decision making from PAI. Under this PhI market research effort, Blackbird.AI will explore opportunities to transition artificial intelligence capabilities for deception detection from its commercial product platform to end users in the DoD and the US Military Services. Blackbird's solutions can be integrated with intelligence analyst command centers and workstations, empowering analysts with human-computer interactive approaches for situation assessment and rapid response in emergent crises.
