Description
During the Phase I investigation, Energy to Power Solutions (e2P) will experimentally evaluate the sweep mode efficacy of its two different dipole moment arrays on a laboratory bench-top prototype and subsequently in a simplified water test bed. Our proposed Phase I effort is specifically targeted towards the Magnetic modality as this is directly related to e2P’s prior experience with the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) M-MCM systems and can have the largest potential impact on size, cost, and performance of the M-payload. Our new and novel concepts have the potential to replace the existing towed high current cable loops or surface mounted electro-magnets with two (2) well established and proven magnet related technologies that could potentially revolutionize future UUV based platforms for M-MCM operations operating with finite time durations.
