Description

Team Tanist will provide innovative immersive technologies to support the DRAGON Ops Center as it becomes a hub for Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTP) development as well as training of next generation space warfighters. Defining the leading edge of real-time Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR), Team Tanist will use live data from the Unified Data Library to prototype visualizations that support TTP experiments and training. In addition to bringing augmented and virtual environments, Team Tanist will design and test measurands to evaluate the effectiveness of the immersive technologies. Team Tanist proposes a logical set of five objectives to bring capability to the DRAGON Ops Center. First, we will develop the Future Space Operations Center Software Solution (FSOCS) using AR and VR technologies. Second, Team Tanist will develop FSOCS TTPs to support operational experimentation. Third, using AR and VR, we will demonstrate the real-time visualization of live space situational awareness data received from the Unified Data Library. Fourth, an FSOCS Operator Effectiveness Program will be developed by Team Tanist. Lastly, Team Tanist will develop an FSOCS training program. With expertise and experience, Team Tanist is ready to help design the command and control operations center for future space warfighters.
