Description

Toyon Research Corporation proposes to conduct research, development, test, and evaluation (RDT&E) to produce a design for an integrated sensor system for use in on-board monitoring of Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) deployments. The innovative payload will include sensors and data processing to transmit data in resource-constrained, communications-limited environments in a manner that has never been done before. High fidelity modeling and simulation will be performed using Toyon’s SLAMEM-Ballistic Missile Defense simulation. In addition, modeling of radio frequency (RF) measurements for objects of interest will help guide our efforts. Toyon’s proposed technology will be instrumental in understanding the development of next-generation strategic systems, including Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD). Toyon will work closely with AFWERX and Air Force end users to specifically transition this technology into the commercial sector, including non-Defense Government organizations, as well as commercial enterprises. At the successful completion of this effort, Toyon will have produced a design that can be pursued for fabrication and delivery in a Phase III SBIR.
