Description
Automated video analysis is challenging. Solutions developed for specific platforms, operating conditions, environments, and user tasks rarely perform well when directly applied to new platforms, under new conditions, or with different users and tasks. Application-specific integration is required and this effort can be non-trivial. Toyon Research Corporation has a commercial VideoPlus line of video analytic products with multiple products specialized for different applications. Toyon recently completed a development effort for automated detection and tracking for MQ-9/Reaper sensor video streams downlinked and processed on the ground. In that effort, Toyon developed a tracker capable of handling the specific operational challenges of this platform as demonstrated during integration testing at Hurlburt Airfield. These tests demonstrated long duration tracks with the potential to reduce A2/A2X analyst completion time for related tasks. To realize this potential, Toyon proposes an effort to address the final barriers to product completion. Specifically, the proposed Phase I tasks would generate firm, feasible plans for system configuration, performance optimization, integration, and deployment guided by interactions with the A2/A2X customer. Successful completion of this project will be the deployment of Toyon’s tracking product at Hurlburt Airfield’s A2/A2X group and its addition to the commercial VideoPlus line.
