Description
Wedeven Associates Inc. (WAI) offers a unique solution to address both subsurface and surface fatigue life of rolling element bearings. The solution is a physics-based approach suitable for Vacuum Induction Melted- Vacuum Arc Remelted (VIM-VAR) steels used in air platforms. Experimental testing is performed with a relevant VIM-VAR steel to validate the analytical solution. The solution is applied to an air platform rolling element bearing as proof of concept in Phase I.
