Description

The shortage of tactical ISR in support of Department of Defense (DoD) Warfighters is well documented.The importance of timely, accurate, and relevant intelligence to supporting commands is undisputedly paramount to ensure the success of critical Warfighter operations. ISR is often required in heavily contested arenas requiring either orbital ISR support with resultant long durations between ground target revisit and high costs, or ISR by low altitude aircraft putting expensive assets and potentially crew at risk. The Warfighters current methods of ISR, heretofore, are costly, lagging, and outdated.  World View’s Stratollite solution - a long duration, persistent, autonomous platform with payload size, weight and power (SWaP) for high resolution electro-optical (EO) and infrared (IR) imagery, and signals intelligence (SIGINT), is flown remotely while navigating in the stratosphere with low detectability.  World View pursued a selected few USAF customers for Phase I, resulting in a signed memorandum of understanding (MOU) from Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC). For Phase II, World View will provide a contiguous United States (CONUS) based contractor owned contractor operated (COCO) ISR capability demonstration for AFSOC in Spring/Summer 2021.
