Description
Alphacore proposes to develop a compact yet highly accurate missile attitude measurement system. This system will be used to support the development of missile performance (6-degree of freedom) and signature (UV-IR). The system will measure missile attitude (yaw, pitch, roll rate, roll position) of MANPADS-type missiles under live fire conditions. Accuracy specifications are: +/- 0.5 degree for pitch and yaw, +/-0.5 rps for roll rate, +/-1 degree for roll position. Data rate specification is 1kHz or better. The system will make accurate measurements under both day and night conditions. The system is capable of accurate measurements within a flight envelope of 10 km long x 0.5 km wide x 2 km high. The size target of the system is 40 x 40 x 30 mm3 and 50 grams of weight.
