Description
Under the subsequent Phase II program, Analysis, Design & Diagnostics, Inc. will work closely with the Office of Naval Research (ONR) and the technical development team from NSWC Panama City to further advance this technology to support mining S&T programs in both shallow and deep water environments. The culmination of this effort will be an end-to-end technology demonstration of the next generation naval mining capabilities where multiple autonomous sensor nodes will be used to detect, classify and localize a target. Multi-node localization will be performed via fusion of detection and kinematic features such as detection frequencies, bearing and elevation angles from each sensor. An active component will also be added to verify the target’s position after passive localization has been performed.
