AVERT Physical Security is commercial modeling and simulation software used to quantitatively assess physical security effectiveness of critical infrastructure.Travis AFB has recognized the value of using AVERT to protect its crown jewel, the Industrial Maintenance Complex and Flight Line.AVERT provides USAF Security Forces the tools they need to address the questions such as the following:How secure is the Industrial Maintenance Complex against changing threats given the large area, multiple access points and current security forcesConsidering current existing infrastructure, what physical securities initiatives should be considered to enhance security effectivenessCan physical security effectiveness be improved through capital expenditures such as fencing and wide area camerasBy how muchDuring Phase I, ARES Security will build the AVERT Model for the Travis AFB Industrial Complex and quantify improvements that can be realized in physical security effectiveness based upon fence and wide area camera installation.
