Description

To bring the full range of Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) and Intelligence Community (IC) capabilities to bear dynamically and strategically in contested and degraded operational environments, Air Force collection managers will need to look beyond use of traditional intelligence platforms. Collection management is a critical facet of realizing this ISR vision, necessary to maintaining high operational tempo and ensuring effective ISR operations. However, due to the increasing complexity of cross-domain systems and the emergence of non-traditional assets, current collection management methods are losing ground in speed and rigor with respect to modern ISR requirements. To address these issues, Charles River Analytics proposes to design and demonstrate the feasibility of a Comprehensive Reasoning ISR Tool for Improved Collections (CRITIC). CRITIC helps collection managers optimize and visualize collection management plans for multi-domain operations to deeply and rapidly understand and explore possible ISR collection management decisions. CRITIC specifically focuses on aligning, integrating and synchronizing new and non-traditional intelligence sources and supporting rapid, agile collection management.
