Description
In order to address the Missile Defense Agency’s urgent need to protect their supply chain from counterfeit microelectronics components, ChromoLogic developed and demonstrated a TRL 9 / MRL 6 QuanTEK system at select sites within the MDA supply chain. QuanTEK uses a proprietary non-contact imaging technology that captures the surface texture of an article and rapidly prepares an unforgeable “virtual tag” (vTag®). A vTag® is intrinsic to the item and is unforgeable. During the course of the proposed Phase II project, we will work with multiple MDA OEMs, global Authorized Distributors as well as Independent Distributors of microelectronic components and MDA centers of excellence by deploying vTag® based solutions in order to demonstrate compliance to DFARS 252.246-7007. Furthermore, we will quantify the economics of a vTag® based supply chain and demonstrate value beyond compliance. Approved for Public Release | 18-MDA-9817 (23 Oct 18)
