Description
FPGA units in security-sensitive applications need secure manufacturing & configuration methods to combat supply chain interdiction and compromise by adversaries, with robust Third-Party IP provenance traceability. The proposed solution uniquely meets this need with a State of the Art blockchain implementation to build a fit-for-purpose supply chain blockchain (SCBC) optimized for DMEA’s FPGA Manufacturing ecosystem. Our blockchain solution takes an open standards-based approach to create innovative new verifiable credentials unified across FPGA hardware & firmware characteristics, leveraging existing design & data security measures. The proposed work will result in a cost-effective, cryptographically secure, and highly available FPGA & ASIC blockchain supply chain risk management (SCRM) provenance tracking system.
