The USAF needs to develop a lethal and ready force full of innovation-minded Airmen. It needs to create its innovation culture, develop its innovation competency, and cultivate innovation communities that sustain and perpetuate the innovation practices into the future. Based on more than 25 years of research and practice, the Competing Values® LLC/ Innovatrium® LLC (“Innovatrium�) has developed innovation framework, tools, materials, and techniques to develop innovation culture, competency, and community. The Innovatrium method has been applied to about half of the Fortune 500 companies in the last two decades, creating the innovation ecosystem needed for those companies to sharpen their competitiveness. The Innovatrium has worked and conversed with AETC and other units in the Air Force including AETC senior leadership, AFRL, SMC, and especially Air University (AU) in the last three years, to bring its unique approach to support the development of the 21st century Airmen and buttress other initiatives to invigorate the culture and leadership in the Air Force. The Innovatrium is proposing a continuing collaboration with AU to transform it into a Center of Gravity for innovation, the resonating force to pull other units to develop sustainable innovation culture, competency, and community for the future.
