Description
FiberQA offers an innovative commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) alternative to the care and maintenance of mission critical fiber optic end-faces. The AVITâ„¢ Military Suite is comprised of AVITâ„¢ Software, System Controller, AVITâ„¢RH, and AVITâ„¢BP (Image 2) . The AVITâ„¢ Military Suite enables a robotic inspection, integrated cleaning, and automated evaluation of fiber optic ferrules and fibers contained within military circular connectors (AVITâ„¢RH) and blind-mate backplanes (AVITâ„¢BP). The long-working distance optics (200X camera) positions over each ferrule and captures a focused, high resolution image and evaluates the cleanliness based on either an established standard, or customizable parameters and subsequently displays PASS or FAIL. Depending on user-settings, the system will extend an integrated dry-contact cleaner to wipe away all contaminants. At the conclusion of this cleaning cycle, the system automatically re-inspects and either performs another cleaning cycle or displays a PASS or FAIL. A searchable report is generated and saved, or electronically transferred IAW unit cyber policy.
