Description
The Air Force Fitness test has not changed significantly since its inception over 70 years ago. The test is assessed once yearly, and is no longer an effective instrument in assessing Airmen fitness readiness on year-round basis. Reserve and Guard units are particularly vulnerable to scoring low on fitness readiness because there are long periods when they are off base. The use of mobile, wearable, and software technology to provide scalable fitness solutions for the military is promising, but the threat of security breaches has prevented large-scale adoption. FitRankings has successfully used mobile, wearable, and software technology to drive scalable fitness initiatives at organizations including the Largest Police Force in the USA, and the largest employer in Texas. The objective of this proposal is to take FitRankings successful commercial solution and adapt it to meet the needs of the Air Force. The enhancements proposed in Phase II are heavily security focused, which will provide a strong basis for scaling the solution within the wider Air Force and Military, while also benefiting FitRankings commercial efforts.
