Description
FMCW LIDAR is a promising approach for future DoD and commercial compact LIDAR systems that cannot only perform ranging, but also Doppler and potentially SAR LIDAR. The goal in this program, Freedom Photonics will produce an integrated coherent swept LIDAR source in the 1550nm band. Freedom Photonics will leverage its existing state of the art high power single mode laser technology and improve and optimize various novel design architectures to address the requirements set by the needs of mobile Army platforms.
