Description
The Army’s Autonomous and Robotic Remote Refueling Point (AR3P) requires remote and autonomous agitation, filtration, and certification of aviation fuel to execute fueling missions with no human-in-the-loop and still meet all fuel delivery requirements, such as those in ATP 3.04.94 and ATP 4.43. FTL’s “Autonomous Filtration, Agitation, and Certification Technology (AFACT)” uses Commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) and Government-off-the-shelf (GOTS) technology to achieve autonomous and remote fuel agitation, filtration and certification. AFACT is engineered to meet size, transportability, component availability, and engineering simplicity goals that are optimized for the AR3P application. Similarly, AFACT uses no proprietary system interfaces or other design elements that complicate modification, adaptability, and lifecycle optimization as part of the larger AR3P system. AFACT represents a three-part solution that combines simple, safe, standards-based fuel handling technologies to autonomously provide certifiably clean and dry fuel as part of the AR3P system.
