Description
The USAF is deploying enterprise network systems leveraging virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) technologies including VMware’s Horizon VDI. The VDI architecture provides unique opportunities for centrally managing endpoint security in an agentless manner to stop attacks and data loss via removable devices. Gigavation’s technology solves the critical USAF requirement of detecting and stopping attacks on systems. Leveraging technology developed and tested in collaboration with the NSF and USAF, Gigavation’s proposed virtualized GigaShield™ solution provides a software infrastructure to improve security of USAF Command, Control, Communications, Intelligence, and Network (C3I&N) systems. Gigavation therefore proposes to provide centralized management, oversight, and security for data transmitted to/from peripherals, including removable media.
