Description

Immersive technology, such as Virtual Reality (VR), has been successfully leveraged to create near-realistic environments and develop high-quality interaction models to address the needs of training simulations that present challenges such as safety, cost and disruption. What has not been adequately addressed, in our opinion, is quantifying the value of the experience by capturing, analyzing and quantifying performance metrics of the participant. HTX Labs (“HTXâ€Â) proposes to conduct specific research and development relevant to capturing data (e.g., body language, attention, motor control, telemetry, biometrics) to support the ability to quantify, aggregate and analyze behavior of the participant (e.g., airman, warfighter). The datasets generated would be contextualized with repeatable and consistently controlled virtual environments, providing a structured and systematic approach to measuring human performance and expertise. With the addition of human centered behavioral analytics, we would be able to quantify the efficacy of the training, and programmatically compare the performance of experts and novices alike.
