Description
The objective of the CTP Adaptive Translator Module is to support the goals of the COE Implementation Plan. The CTP will reduce the development time and lower the development costs associated with introducing new protocols into an environment. The reduction in cost and time will be achieved by introducing a modular, embeddable framework that maintains a local common track database which can scale to meet the needs of the end user. A modular framework enables developers to leverage the core system and an ecosystem of existing plugins. Leveraging these existing capabilities allows developers to start at a later point in the software development lifecycle than if a gateway or protocol translator were to be developed from scratch. The core system will provide modules with an internal data model for track data, a local track database, and a messaging framework. These features are present in all protocol translators and are a source of duplication in the development of new translators.
