Description
The proposed effort involves the development of improved calibration concepts and techniques for several class of sensors and instruments that are in use by the Air Force in high speed test facilities. While specific sensors and instruments will be targeted during the core of the effort, it is also proposed to develop a high level tool that assists in the overall calibration process by helping identify sources of noise and/or error that lead to measurement uncertainty. Bench-level and laboratory scale testing will be performed to evaluate the proposed calibration process and to quantify improvements realized.
