Description

It is of the utmost importance that all the information exchanged are legit and unmodified. As attackers are becoming more sophisticated, however, traditional methods are losing their effectiveness. The emerging blockchain technology provides a secure and decentralized way to maintain a global view of information, and has been used in many encrypted currencies. The blockchain technology has many security advantages, such as robustness against single point failure, but also has many practical issues. For example, most blockchain implementations are slow, and cannot support fast transactions. Intelligent Automation, Incorporated (IAI) proposes to develop a fast blockchain (FOCA) protocol for solve existing challenges. FOCA provides a decentralized way to maintain the integrity of global information, and does not require that all participating nodes of FOCA are always connected. Despite of their connectivity states, FOCA nodes can make fast transactions. When these transactions are observed by peers, the order of transactions are preserved. Compared with current blockchain implementations, FOCA provides a fast and secure foundation for various applications.
