Description
The Phase II proposal provides for a very discreet, convenient, and robust way for (1) personnel in the field or on base to alert operations leadership if a situation arises requiring a response and to then provide locational tracking of that situation in real-time world-wide, (2) operations leadership to have locational awareness of large or small teams of personnel in the field and apply contextual rules to trigger alerts, and (3) command leadership to issue orders for roll call or return-to-base. The effort will involve (1) developing firmware for the device and software for the app and Cloud to detect and respond to SOS button pushes, (2) building a scalable multi-device monitoring portal, (3) designing and building multi-unit chargers and new mounting accessories, and (4) hardening the tracking device for environmental stress.
