Description
The SAVED System (Smoke Assured Vision Enhanced Display) is a head-worn augmented reality-based product developed for Federal Express Corporation (FedEx). Klatt Works, Inc. (Klatt Works) is currently completing development and FAA Supplemental Type Certification (STC) of the SAVED system as installed on FedEx aircraft and will be entering production for FedEx within 12 months. FAA certification on the Boeing 777 STC is expected early 2020. SAVED is a self-contained optical display module that is installed within a full-face oxygen mask or can be installed within a goggle set to display fused HUD/forward looking video enabling pilots to navigate and land in conditions of zero visibility inside the cockpit.
