Description
Demonstration of a persistent hybrid SATCOM/LTE COTM capability with fleet management and situational awareness visibility. Kymeta is a Low Size, Weight, Power and Cost (SWAP-C) satellite and terrestrial Communications on the Move (COTM) capability. This solution combines an advanced metamaterials-based Electronically Steered Array (ESA) Satellite Communications (SATCOM) terminal with terrestrial LTE to provide persistent broadband communications within, between and outside terrestrial LTE service areas. In addition, the proposed system provides advanced fleet management capabilities by interfacing with the vehicle’s On-Board Diagnostics II (OBD-II) interface to provide remote viewing of vehicle telematics.
