Description

Valves represent one of the most common- yet most critical components of Air Force and commercial operations. Both the Air Force and Industry worldwide utilize many different types of valves across a broad range of applications. These include: refineries; fuel pipelines and fuel storage; aircraft and missile fueling and refueling operations; electrical power generation and water distribution systems. That is why the global Valve market is estimated at over $62 Billion annually. However, all traditional Valves eventually leak due to corrosion, contamination dirt, component fatigue, and chemical interactions. For both the Air Force and Industry, valve leaks are one of the most critical and costly problems- resulting in fugitive emissions, environmental contamination, loss of valuable fuel and water resources, costly maintenance, and safety hazards to personnel from the release of lethal gases and steam. Over the past 8 years, Dr. Edward Davis and the Maui Innovation Group staff have developed and patented a new type of Magnetic Valve which uses external magnets to completely eliminate valve leakage.
