Description
The µPNT adaptive antenna electronics (AE) was developed in response to the U.S. Pacific Command Rapid Innovation Funds (RIF) Broad Area Announcement (BAA), PACOM-13-BAA-RIF-0001. The objective of this contract was the development of an affordable, lightweight jamming resistant Global Positioning System (GPS) navigational unit within the size, weight, and power constraints of a group one micro unmanned aircraft system (UAS). The µPNT RIF contract achieved its objectives and demonstrated the key performance parameters (KPP) and design feasibility for a small, lightweight, low power and cost, adaptive AE system for use in UASs. As a follow on, the Nu-Trek team proposes to provide production improvements to the µPNT system and to achieve qualification of the design for uninhabited weapon environments (UAS environments).
