Description
In this effort, NuSpot Technologies, LLC proposes the development of a cost-effective, self-contained and easy to manufacture Superresolving Phase Filter capable of generating a sub-wavelength scale, or “superresolved,” spot of electromagnetic radiation that can be customized to operate at a given target wavelength in the IR, Vis, or UV. Successful completion of this SBIR project will enable: [1] pervasive desktop 3D printing by reducing its cost while providing for production of products with higher precision and surface finish control, [2] greatly increased amounts of data being written to conventional optical media, [3] enhanced UV disinfection, (4) high precision laser processing , [5] enhanced optical resolution for existing optical elements for microscopy applications, and [6] “cellular scale” precision laser surgery.
