Built on a commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) platform that is extended by a web-app, specific to the DoD SAAR process and tailored to system-specific prerequisites and endorsements, the SSAAR-Web system allows the Air Force to address the problems of cumbersome verification of users for system access, including training perquisites and clearances, as well as the nonlinear risks of disclosure, caused by lags in awareness of changes of prerequisite status, access justification, and the need to know.
