Description

Orbit Logic proposes to implement an Integrated Commercial and DoD Scheduling System (dubbed ICDSS) based on our Heimdall Fire SSA observation planning solution. The tool will provide the means for integrated planning between commercial and DoD entities in the areas of SSA observation, contact scheduling, and ground observations. Orbit Logic will leverage the Heimdall Fire solution recently delivered to the NSDC, as well as its underlying COTS tools (STK Scheduler, CPAW, and Order Logic), and the many commercial and government solutions Orbit Logic has deployed for contact scheduling and imagery collection planning. Order Logic (the main web-based user interface for Heimdall Fire) provides a configurable interface for these multiple planning domains, and we can leverage recent deployments for NASA, NOAA, and commercial customers (like BridgeSat and DigitalGlobe). Orbit Logic’s previous Heimdall Web SBIR effort provides the architecture and concept of operations baseline for collaborative commercial and DoD planning that we can refine under the proposed effort. The initial stakeholder for this proposal is AFRL Space Vehicles Directorate – Paul Zetocha, who is planning to set up a prototype commercial space ops center at the Catalyst Campus in Colorado Springs. Additional potential stakeholders include the AFSCN and SMC SSN.
