Description
We propose the design and construction of a solution that is based upon open architectural principles. It will not only promote both modularity and extensibility, but also interoperability. The resulting solution will be much more than the sum of its parts. The primary components of our solution will include a consolidated security status UI that provides a single pane view of the status of the system, with an ability to access individual tool status; an open security data bus that will (securely) expose the underlying data models and the data used by every tool in the framework; a tools control and monitoring API that will provide oversight and status of the cyber tools deployment within the framework; and, finally, a framework lifecycle management interface, which will provide an automated, script-driven ability to deploy, install, safely update & test, and remove cybersecurity tools. Our solution is built upon technologies that are already part of the combat system.
