Description
RTI is proposing to develop a comprehensive connectivity framework that will optimize communication, ease development and security, allow for incremental improvements, prioritize data, and adapt to changing topology in tactical Disadvantaged, Intermittent, and Low-bandwidth (DIL) environments. It will significantly reduce propagation of low value and control data across congested links and reduce the number of point-to-point gateways needed to translate data across multi-integrator platforms. Our approach will allow for dynamic adjustments to priority traffic as command elements adapt to the battlefield. Our solution will use non-proprietary APIs based upon open standards to promote rapid reuse and scale. In addition, our solution will advance the state of the art in distributed networking through improvements in instance management, filtering, and security in rapidly evolving, situational, tactical networks.
