Description

Resolution Technology Analytics proposes a Knowledge Center for the USAF AFWERX ‘open topic’ SIBR Phase 1. The Knowledge Center (KC) gives USAF personnel ready access to an extensive, yet highly cost-effective database and collaboration hub of worldwide, commercial technology-related developments and incidents that could impact operations. The KC addresses three challenges that the USAF faces in its current operating environment. First, the KC enables subject matter expert collaboration to gain a better understanding of complex commercial technologies. Second, voluminous Publicly Available Information (PAI) is distilled to usable levels and given structure. Finally, the KC reduces redundancy and increases efficiency in a resource constrained operating environment. The KC is innovative in its combined use of crowd, expert and community sourcing. The KC is a layer above existing search engines and PAI tools. The KC allows multi-disciplinary, multi-location collaboration shaped to the needs of the organization and topic. The KC concept could be commercialized in scores of areas in the USAF and across government requiring consistent information distribution and collaboration. The underlying information gathering and evaluating software and processes have been running effectively for 7 years (TRL9). The KC concept is highly technically feasible and low risk.
