Description
The Modernized Integrated Database (MIDB) is the central point for all Air Force mission planning and Intelligence Preparation of the Battlefield (IPB) activities. The MIDB has not keep up with changes to the modern battle space. Moving from a static record of kinetic entities to dynamic records of both kinetic and non-kinetic entities is the overall objective of Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA). As part of DIA’s long term strategy, new techniques are required to better service the warfighter with the most up to date operational environment representation. TATE Phase II demonstrated the utility of a live operational environment model in support of Battle Damage Assessment (BDA) against both kinetic and non-kinetic targets. This was accomplished by modeling MIDB entities into dynamic system of system models used to assess the current state of targeted MIDB entities. This approach will be extended under the TATE STTP to support DIA’s current goals updating entities based on near real time foundational intelligence.
