Description
SoarTech proposes the Civil Engineer Inspection Toolkit (CE-IT), a real-time assistant for wide area inspection tasks using sUAS. CE-IT will extend RADAS to provide a more general-purpose, rapid inspection capability. In the commercial domain, inspection tasks are often broken up into separate data collection and data analysis tasks. CE-IT will develop an initial set of analytics and help the Air Force Civil Engineering Center (AFCEC) adapt the analytics to user needs. By performing analytics in real-time, CE-IT will provide on-site feedback and enable engineers to respond to issues as they conduct an assessment. This vastly broadens the types of tasks to which the system can be applied. By integrating these tools into the existing RADAS training and operations, Air Force civil engineers will be more capable in executing the RADAS mission as well as other wide area inspection tasks.
