Description

Virtual reality is an immersive simulation of a 3D environment that can be explored and interacted with in real time where the experience adjusts depending on the user’s inputs. VR enables SURVIVR to create a training program for immersive and accessible SF and first responder training, which features highly realistic, scalable, modifiable and cost-effective, training scenarios. Highly realistic scenarios are designed by law enforcement and deployed at real-world locations relevant to the officer (e.g. actual installation facilities). The program is scalable and cost-effective using low-cost COTS with customized software. Non-player characters respond to officer voice commands with realistic, if unpredictable, behavior. Furthermore, there are realistic, holsterable firearms with accurate weight and kickback that are visible inside the officer's field of view in VR.
