Description

The non-traditional technology market and dual-use ecosystem produce thousands of technologies and companies each year. Funded and developed by private capital, these technologies have significant application in the military – but only if military users can find and assess them. To effectively bring these technologies to bear on military missions, users need to accomplish five key activities: 1. Source and Connect user problems to markets and potential suppliers; 2. Identify potential companies and technologies that can solve user problems; 3. Collaboratively Assess companies’ and technologies’ mission market fit; 4. Track an organization’s interactions with potential suppliers and the ecosystem; and 5. Manage an organization’s innovation projects’ status. Atlas Fulcrum will leverage best-of-breed commercial technologies to allow DoD users to accomplish these key activities in a holistic, efficient, and user-friendly manner. This proposal will 1) identify and integrate best-of-breed commercial products that perform similar functions for non-government customers, 2) develop and layer government-specific ontologies and requirements, and 3) develop a user-friendly dashboard that allows managers to understand the status of their organization’s innovation projects and work with the non-traditional technology market. The finished product will allow government users to more effectively and efficiently work with non-traditional technology providers.
