Description
Tau Technologies is teaming with Dr. David Voelz and his research group at New Mexico State University (NMSU) to propose “Vibration Imaging for the characterization of extended non-cooperative targets, which employs dual-pulses in two different variations for vibration imaging in order to characterize non-cooperative targets at extended standoffs. One method is based on double-pulse time-averaging holography for extremely sensitive vibration imaging capable of sensing vibration amplitudes in the nanometer scale. This method has been recently shown to be extremely sensitive tool for vibration amplitude imaging. The second method is based on the double-pulse phase timing holographic vibration imaging employed by Lockheed Martin. In Phase I, we will conduct the wave-optics modeling and analysis of these approaches including accuracy and suitability for field deployment against non-cooperative targets in military environments. We will also use these tools to compare these two methods for DH vibration imaging. We will also employ Tau Technology laboratory assets to perform a simple proof of concept demonstration of one or both concepts.
