Description
TUI proposes to establish a rapid access hosted payload service dubbed HyperBus, enabled by TUI’s Modular Payload Platform (MPP). MPP is a 6Ux2U modular, multi-functional spacecraft architecture that provides rapidly-configurable power, C&DH, ADCS, propulsion, and comms services to hosted payloads from 1U to 10U in volume. In addition to risk, schedule, and cost savings realized through the reuse of a single spacecraft design, a well-defined payload interface, and parallel payload and spacecraft integration and test efforts, the HyperBus service will significantly reduce operational costs and integration risks through standardization and reuse of a single operations concept, implementation, and infrastructure. On-orbit, HyperBus will provide single point access for connectivity, routing, and file storage to hosted payloads. The payload customer experience will be streamlined by providing each payload a segregated, secure, ‘cloud like’ file repository where payload command files can be uploaded and mission data files and telemetry can be retrieved. To mitigate integration risks introduced by parallel testing and late-stage integration, TUI will provide access to a software emulation of the command telemetry interface to support preliminary payload development and networked access to TUI’s MPP flat sat for remote integration testing.
