Description
Innovative technologies for safe and cost-effective H2 production, storage, and delivery to end-users are needed to realize the “hydrogen economy” and ARL’s nanogalvanic aluminum powder being an exemplar approach. However, for this technology to be used as a practical hydrogen source for power generation, enabling devices and methods that can safely and conveniently accept the Al alloy powder and precisely control the Al/water reactions for on-demand H2 generation are urgently needed. Presently, devices specially designed to use ARL’s Al alloy powder for H2 generation are not commercially available. Tritons Systems, Inc. proposes to develop a device which will allow the metered generation of hydrogen from an innovative nanogalvanic aluminum alloy developed by ARL. We will develop a simple and reliable H2 generation device along with related operating procedures.
